Singer Faith Evans gets married to Stevie J. in Las Vegas, report says

This is the third marriage for the Grammy-winning Evans, who grew up in Newark and used to be married to the Notorious B.I.G. Stevie J. has appeared on the reality shows ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ and ‘Leave it to Stevie’ on VH1.

Singer Faith Evans has married music producer and reality TV star Stevie J., TMZ reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, Evans, 45, and Stevie, 46, whose full name is Steven Jordan, got married in their Las Vegas hotel room on Tuesday night.

The couple seemed to confirm the news on Twitter.

“I love you Faith Renee Jordan,” Jordan posted early Wednesday morning.

“I love you back Steven Aaron Jordan,” Evans replied.

Evans, dubbed the “first lady of Bad Boy” in the 1990s because she was the first woman signed to Bad Boy Records, grew up in Newark singing at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

She was previously married to her label mate at the time, The Notorious B.I.G., aka Christopher Wallace, for three years until his shooting death in 1997 (they separated shortly before that). Her second marriage was to record company executive Todd Russaw, who she married in 1998 and divorced in 2011.

In 1998, Evans won a Grammy for “I’ll Be Missing You,” her hit song with Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs and 112 that served as a tribute to Wallace. She’s received eight nominations in her career.

Jordan has starred in the VH1 reality shows “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” and “Leave it to Stevie” and has worked as a producer for Combs’ Bad Boy Records. His projects have included the 1997 Notorious B.I.G “Life After Death” album.

Evans has a daughter and three sons, including Christopher Wallace Jr., her son with Wallace. Jordan has six children, including a daughter with Joseline Hernandez and a daughter with Mimi Faust. Both women are members of the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” cast.

Jordan, who reportedly owes $1.3 million in back child support payments, had been involved in a child custody case with Hernandez.

Cardi B welcomes baby girl Kulture Kiari with Offset

Cardi and Offset’s daughter is named after Offset, whose given name is Kiari Cephus. The rapper first revealed she was pregnant in April. She later confirmed that she had secretly married Offset last year.

Cardi B has had an undeniable cultural impact over the last year, and now, she’s given birth to a daughter named Kulture.

“Kulture Kiari Cephus 07/10/18,” posted Cardi, 25, on Instagram Wednesday, sharing an au naturel picture from a maternity photoshoot and tagging her husband, Offset, from the group Migos.

The baby, born Tuesday, is partially named for her father. Offset’s given name is Kiari Cephus. Migos’ 2017 album is also titled “Culture,” albeit with a “C.” (“Culture II” was released in January.)

Months before the baby was born, Cardi said that Offset, 26, had picked the name.

Cardi’s given name is Belcalis Almanzar. This is her first child and Offset’s fourth.

On Twitter, Kulture’s name quickly rose to the top of the trends. Some fans wondered why the baby’s name didn’t start with a “B” — Cardi’s preferred consonant — and made comparisons to the Kardashian family’s penchant for “K” names. Others celebrated the baby news with the meme of a cheeky Cardi at 5 years old that has been circulating over the past few weeks.

After dodging pregnancy rumors for months, the rapper from the Bronx, whose maternity photo brings to mind Beyonce’s (slightly more clothed), but similarly floral pregnancy announcement last year, officially announced she was expecting in April by wearing a form-fitting dress during a performance on “Saturday Night Live.” The set marked the release of her first album, “Invasion of Privacy,” which debuted atop the Billboard 200.

The rapper is an open book on social media, where she commands an audience of millions, having unwrapped baby gifts and shared video clips from her daily life with adoring fans. But in June, Cardi confirmed a TMZ report that she had secretly gotten married to Offset in September of 2017, despite a public proposal at a Philadelphia concert in October.

Cardi, who has a home in Edgewater, just reached a career milestone with the success of her song “I Like It,” becoming the first female rapper to see two songs hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The social media star, a former stripper and cast member on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” broke into the mainstream as an artist with the song “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves),” which topped the chart in October 2017.

Cardi B and Offset’s latest musical collaboration is on Lil Yachty’s “Who Want the Smoke,” a single released on July 6, just before the baby’s birth.

Cardi B makes history with her song ‘I Like It’

The song makes Cardi the first female rapper to have two songs go to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both her other hit track, ‘Bodak Yellow,’ and ‘I Like It’ are included in her debut album, ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ which also entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1.

Cardi B has reached another milestone in her career with her latest No. 1 song, “I Like It.”

Billboard reports that Cardi has made history by becoming the first female rapper to see two songs hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“I Like It,” which has spent 12 weeks on the chart, features Puerto Rican trap singer Bad Bunny and Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin. A large portion of the song is recorded in Spanish.

“NUMBER (expletive) 1,” Cardi tweeted Monday afternoon. “Billboard Hot 100!”

“I slept on this record because, you know, two verses on this song, J Balvin and Bad Bunny’s part, is in Spanish and I figured not all my fans know Spanish,” she said in a video, thanking fans for their support.

The hook of the rapper’s hit song has some history. “I Like It” samples the 1967 song “I Like it Like That” by Pete Rodriguez, which was also the name of a 1994 movie associated with a cover song of the same name by the Blackout Allstars, which was in turn boosted by a 1996 Burger King commercial.

In April, Cardi’s debut album, “Invasion of Privacy,” also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Cardi, 25, a Bronx native born Belcalis Almanzar, has a home in Edgewater.

She also made history with her first No. 1 song, “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves),” another track included on “Invasion of Privacy” and the one that made the former cast member on “Love & Hip Hop: New York” a star.

As the song spent three weeks atop the chart in October 2017, she became the first solo female rapper since Lauryn Hill in 1998 (“Doo Wop (That Thing)”) to reach the top spot.

Female rappers who previously hit No. 1 as solo artists, featured artists, or part of a group of artists include Hill, Lil’ Kim (“Lady Marmalade”), Shawnna (“Stand Up” by Ludacris) and Iggy Azalea (“Fancy”).

In late June, Cardi revealed she secretly got married to her fiance Offset, of the group Migos, last September, a month before his public proposal. The couple is expecting a baby girl this month. After a period of speculation during which she wore stomach-concealing outfits, Cardi confirmed her pregnancy during a performance on “Saturday Night Live” in April.
